/thoughts inspired by Slavoj Žižek/

Why I don’t like stories?
No matter how horrible our story is, we will find a way to rationalize it.
You tell yourself a story about it.
What is the ultimate truth about me?,
the truth of me as unique person?,
where do I really stand?
This answers are NOT deep inside! It is NOT when you take your time to see your soul! it is NOT after hours of thinking and finding deepest identification,… on that point it is usually already a LIE!
Inner truth is a LIE!

I am bad at faking emotions. And it is getting worse with years.
This is why I don’t like stories. Or to put it more accurate. I don’t ask for stories. I don’t mind them, I just don’t like if I feel that you expect from me to feel them. I know, it makes all of us feel more special if people connect with our stories, it feels like everything is worth more if others feel whatever we feel,… but it is impossible!! Only you know what you feel and how you feel and only you are responsible for whatever feelings rise inside you, no matter the situation! And to make up this story of me connecting with you, feeling you,… just to sell my work based on fake feelings, this is not humane for me.
All of this new age fake stories that are being sold to us, so we would get more solid meaning?!?! Coffee is coffee, I don’t care about love story behind every coffee bean, so you can sell it to me for more profit.
If everyone could stand with truth and integrity behind HOW they do things there would be no need for this fake stories. There would be no need to play on our emotions. And this is what provokes me! Selling this constant fake happiness in every field. It in not just in art, not just in tattooing – it spread everywhere – but at the end of the day, it means NOTHING if it is just a story. Because it is easy to write a story that emerges a feeling inside consumers – game of emotions is amazing, it is powerful and easy! Try to be TRUE, try to sell NOTHING! – because we are selling NOTHING and we are buying NOTHING. It would be useful to recognize what are natural triggers for pleasure. We are becoming convinced that we will be happy if we get what we desire (this can be things and also feelings!!). What a foolish delusion to equalizing joy and happiness. To get what we desire can give us joy, but happiness is in compassion!
